Ruth Finnegan (born 1933), Emeritus Professor of the Open University is an anthropologist and novelist with broad interdisciplinary interests, especially in classical studies, literature, sociolinguistics, modes of thought, cultural history and, recently, spiritual paranormal experience or altered consciousness.
